It is located 25 minutes from Playa del Carmen. Also known as "Ponderosa," this cenote offers a natural pool with a lot of marine life. It is the perfect place to spend a few hours.
You can swim, snorkel and of course go diving. The cave is one of those few places like Cenote "Kukulkán", where the effects of light are at their best! It has a large opening that lets in sunlight that hits the water with all its power. You can admire the light curtains throughout the dive.
The maximum depth of this dive is 15 meters / 50 feet, so we will also find salt water and OuHaa! Here is the thermocline and the halocline. It is so nice to hang out in the background and look back at your walk in the halcline.
Diving for a good time in the Cenote we can see the plants, the forest and the trees that are reflected in the surface, it is nice to see the roots of the mangrove trees drinking the water of the Cenote and also to observe the incredible photosynthesis of the algae.
