11. Cenote Dos Ojos (Diving)


Cenote Dos Ojos is undoubtedly the most famous in the area and an experience you should not miss

Each dive takes a completely different route inside the cave. The first is called Barbie line and leads parallel to one of the cenotes so we have enough illumination throughout the tour and spectacular formations of huge columns, stalactites and stalagmites.

The second dive to the Dos Ojos cenote is called bat cave and takes us through a much darker but very decorated route, here it is possible to float on the surface and admire a beautiful cave with an air dome totally decorated with stalactites.


Requirements:

The certification of open water is sufficient, it is not necessary the specialty of caves but this diving is considered as advanced level. If you have not dived in the past six months or have few dives registered in your log, a skill reminder course is recommended.


Itinerary:

Friday - If you are looking for another day to dive in cenotes please check the diving at Chikin Ha or Tajma Ha.


Departure time:

8.00 am from Aquaworld Marina - choose your hotel to see the pick up time. Please consider 20 minutes for traffic


Return time:

5.45 - 6.30 pm arrival to Cancun - We can drop you at your hotel on the way.

** The Dos Ojos park charges a fee to enter the cavern with cameras ($ 100 pesos for Go Pro or between $ 350 - $ 1000 pesos for professional equipment).
